Our Story

Female jeweler and CEO of Herae Jewelryin a gray oversize suit sitting on a clear chair against a white background, wearing maximalist jewelry

I’m Ijeoma, and this is why HERAE exists...

Jewelry isn't just a business for me; it’s my mission.

As a 4th-generation jeweler, I watched my family turn raw metals and beads into stories for decades. I saw how a bold necklace or a structural earring could change a woman’s entire posture. It wasn’t just an accessory; it was her armor.

When I moved to Toronto, I realized the world often tries to tell women to "tone it down." We’re told to be subtle, to be minimal, to blend in. But coming from a lineage of maximalists, I knew that our strength isn't quiet. It’s vibrant, it’s structural, and it’s unyielding.

In 2026, Herae was born

I created Herae for the woman who is tired of "understated." I wanted to build a bridge between my Nigerian roots, the architectural elegance of the Ichafu, Igbo culture, the intricate wire-work of my ancestors and the modern, global stage we stand on today.

Herae isn't about "giving" you power. You already have that. My mission is simply to provide the pieces that match that innate strength and MAKES YOU SEEN.
